A clinic VISIA booth measures eight. Two of them, UV damage below the surface and porphyrins, the bacterial by-product that sits in congested pores, need cross-polarised and ultraviolet imaging that no laptop camera has. The Scan reads the other six honestly and says so. For the missing two you need in-clinic hardware: the starred clinics in the Radiance Guide carry it.

The Radiance Scan is informational and editorial only. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for an examination by a qualified practitioner. It reads a single photograph in ordinary light, which is a poor instrument next to a dermatoscope or a calibrated clinic booth, and it cannot see below the surface at all.
Consult a qualified dermatologist or practitioner before booking any treatment, and tell them your history, your medication and your sun exposure. Anything resembling a mole, a changing spot, an asymmetric or bleeding lesion needs a dermatologist promptly, and the Scan will always say so rather than score it. Nothing here is scored by who advertises with us, because nobody does.
